A meeting with William de Ora delivers more than just talking about investment properties. I walked away with new insights about the direction to take with my career, as well as in life, oh and I got invaluable information about how to buy an investment property.

A friend knew that my wife and I were interested in purchasing an investment property, and recommended that the best person to meet with was William de Ora. The meeting with William turned out to be nothing like what we were expecting. So allow me to share our experience.

Firstly, William did what other sales people don’t do. He listened! He was open, honest, and very frank in his feedback. He asked a lot of questions about my life, my goals and my future. He was patient. I felt that he deeply understood who I was, and what I wanted to achieve in this country. However, what truly surprised me was when he said, “Yes, you can buy a property today. But, if you were to buy a property today, you will face difficulties later on.”

This came as a total surprise, because I’m used to sales people who are just after the sale. I could really see that William was different. But his next comment really hit home.

“Naren, what you need right now is to get a better job, with better pay.” He was sounding more like a long lost uncle than a sales person. “Then, you need to save money for a good deposit.”

My association with William didn’t stop there. He then mentored me in getting a good job, and building up my confidence. He encouraged me to be my best. For all this help, he never asked for a dollar or pushed me to buy anything.

Today, I’m in a better position. We have restructured lot of things as a result of the meeting with William. Today, I am going from strength the strength in my career and in life. And, one day soon we are looking forward to building our investment portfolio.
